SUMMERLEAZE BEACH

We hold the majority of our surf lessons on the beautiful Summerleaze beach, the main beach in Bude. With an RNLI beach lifeguard watch tower overlooking it and its protected location, conditions are perfect for providing the best surf instruction available in the area. Located on the idyllic North Cornish coastline, Summerleaze beach and the surrounding area is also perfect for sunbathing, walking the dog, enjoying an ice cream from one of the beach cafes or watching friends and family trying their hand at surfing from a variety of viewing spots while taking a few snapshots!

Unlike more crowded spots like Newquay, Bude provides a clean space, free from crowds and congestion. The friendly locals enjoy seeing visitors making the most of Bude's fantastic outdoor facilities, including our outdoor sea pool, golf courses, children's play parks, indoor leisure centre and bowling alley.

Located next to Summerleaze beach, this slightly smaller beach is a short walk from Bude town centre and is another popular surfing beach, overlooked by RNLI lifeguards from May to September. Surrounded by a cafe, a large children's play area, a skate park and beach huts this beach is definitely worth a visit.

This beautiful, unspoilt beach is an ideal place to tuck yourself away from the world. Also overlooked by RNLI Lifeguards during the summer period, walking to this beach along the coastal path is the perfect way to get there and enjoy the sunshine.

This wide, gorgeous sandy beach is perfect for walking at low tide and is a short drive away from Bude centre. There is a cafe and shop next to the car park and is also overlooked by RNLI lifeguards during the summer period.

This beach is truly a hidden gem, hidden between the North Cornish cliffs, a short drive away from Bude it is an ideal spot for some peaceful sunbathing or walking the dog. Walking the up the cliffs either way provides you with some beautiful, unspoilt view of the rugged North Cornish coastline.

This picturesque beach is very open and walking from Bude to Widemouth allows for some beautiful views of the coastline heading south. Although more exposed to weather conditions than Summerleaze, this beach is a popular surf spot.
